Covid-19 Update: Mon. 3rd Aug. 2020 – Zero Deaths – 46 New Cases

“Keep fighting hard against Covid-19 virus”

This evening, the Department of Health has confirmed that there have been zero new deaths caused by this pandemic, leaving the overall death toll here in the Republic of Ireland remaining at 1,763.

However, there were 46 new additional cases reported to the Department of Health, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception, now at 26,208.

Of the cases notified today, 27 are men and 19 are women, while 85% are under 45 years of age.

Fifteen of the cases are located in Co.Kildare; Eight in Co. Laois; Seven in Co. Clare; Five in Co. Offaly, while the remaining 11 cases are spread across nine other counties.

There have been zero new cases of the Covid-19 virus identified here in Co. Tipperary, leaving the total number of cases remaining at 545, within our county boundary, for the third day running.

    George. This is great news. Ireland is not doing to bad with this Virus outbreak. We are once again having our borders closed to Sydney and Melbourne. To many getting in illegal to the coast with the virus. My sister Margaret is living in Melbourne. It’s terrible down there. A lot of restrictions. No one can be out of there house after 8:00pm. But the only way I can keep in touch with her is ringing her every other night. Absolutely no flights in or out. George I can’t wait for this upheaval to end. I suppose you all feel the same way.
