Two men are understood to have been arrested following the discovery of a consignment of cannabis and cocaine by police officers, operating out of Limerick & Tipperary Drug Units, here in Co Tipperary yesterday.
The seizure is understood to have a street value estimated at almost €500,000.
Investigating Gardaí were involved in searching a house, about 10km on the Galbally side of Tipperary, at Ballywire, Kilross, Co Tipperary yesterday afternoon, when they uncovered 20kg of cannabis and a kilo of cocaine.
Two men, believed to be in their 30’s are understood to have been arrested at the scene, under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act and same were taken to Tipperary Garda Station, where they can be held for up to seven days for questioning.
