Kilkenny Boss Brian Cody

Kilkenny senior hurling manager Brian Cody has named his team to face Tipperary in this Saturday’s game, under lights, at Semple Stadium, Thurles.

Nine of the side which lost last year’s All-Ireland Final to the Premier County have been selected.

The team  sees David Herity get his chance in goal and Colin Fennelly at corner forward. Kilkenny are without the O’Loughlin Gaels players and have an injury list which includes long term sufferers Henry Shefflin and John Tennyson, together with Eoin Larkin and P.J. Ryan.
