Death Of Nora Quirke, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Saturday 24th February 2024 of Mrs Nora Quirke (née Kennedy), Matthew Avenue, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Bredagh, Toomevara, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Séan, her son-in-law Eugene (O’Brien), sisters Bab, Bridie and Kathleen, brothers Jack, Dan and Frank; Mrs Quirke passed away peacefully.

Her passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving daughters Catherine (O’Brien) and Marie (O’Gorman), her son-in-law Séamus, her cherished grandchildren Joseph, Róisín, Eugene and Norma (O’Brien), Éabha and Breana (O’Gorman), Roísín’s partner Tadhg, her brother-in-law Paddy (Quirke Littleton), nieces, nephews, extended relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mrs Quirke will repose on Tuesday afternoon, February 27th, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm same evening, at Dan Kennedy’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Thurles [E41 XY47].
Her remains will be received into the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles, on Wednesday morning at 10:30am, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:00am, followed by interment in St Patrick’s Graveyard, Churchquarter, Kilcommon, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Death Of Jackie Maher, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Saturday 24th February 2024, of Mr John (Jackie) Maher, Mill Road, Ballynonty, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Predeceased by his parents Richard and Mary; the passing of Mr Maher is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by his brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, neighbours and friends (in particular his good friend Martin Lawlor).

The earthly remains of Mr Maher will repose at O’Connell’s Funeral Home, No.1 Bóher Lug, Killenaule, Thurles, [E41 VX02], tomorrow afternoon, Monday, February 26th, from 5:00pm until 7:00pm same evening.
His remains will be received into the Church of St Patrick and St Oliver, Glengoole, Thurles on Tuesday morning, February 27th, at 11:15am, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 11:30am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

Death Of Judy Power, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, today Thursday 22nd February 2024, of Mrs Julia (Judy) Power (née Hegarty), Cabra, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Kilruane, Rosscarbery, Co Cork.

Pre-deceased by her brother John Joe (Hegarty), sister Mary (Glynn) and her beloved husband Eamonn; Mrs Power passed away peacefully in her sleep, while surrounded by her family.

Her passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sons Aidan and Declan, daughter Fiona, daughters-in-law Angelique and Jenny, grandchildren Killian, Annabel, Jessie, Ethan, Isaac, Jacob and Noah, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, kind neighbours, anda large circle of friends.

Her remains will be received into the former Cistercian Monastery Abbey, at Holycross, Thurles, on Sunday afternoon, February 25th, at 12:30pm, to further repose for Requiem Mass at 1:00pm, followed by interment, immediately afterwards, in the adjoining Abbey graveyard.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, on Tuesday 20th February 2024, of Mrs Mary Keogh (née Heaphy), The Commons, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her parents Daniel and Ellen, her beloved husband Dick, brothers and sisters and son-in-law Finbar; Mrs Keogh passed away peacefully, while surrounded by her loving family.

Death Of Bridget Hanrahan, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Tuesday 20th February 2024, of Mrs Bridget Hanrahan (née Commins), Fanningsbog, Mullinahone, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by her husband Michael, son Pat, brothers John, Pa and Tom; Mrs Hanrahan passed peacefully, on February 20th, while in the care of staff at St.Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny City, Co. Kilkenny, following a short illness.

Her passing is most deeply regretted and sadly missed by her children; Mary, Willie, Fiona, Val and Mick, sister Elizabeth, sons and daughters-in-law Tom, Kate, Mickey and Wanda, adored grandchildren Caitriona, Sarah, Casey, Holly, Christopher, Erin and Michael, sister-in-law Kathleen, brother-in-law Joe, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
