It is with a great sadness that the community of Thurles has learned of the death today, Saturday 4th August 2018, of Very Rev. Fr. Ailbe O’Bric, (Ó Bric), P.P., Clerihan, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.
Fr. Ailbe formerly of Killenaule, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, passed away while in the loving care of the Nurses and Staff at Acorn Lodge Nursing Home, Cashel, Co. Tipperary, after a long illness.
His passing is most deeply regretted by his loving sister Bláithín; brothers Declán and Colm; sister-in-law; niece; nephews; grandnieces; grandnephews; Archbishop Kieran O’Reilly and fellow priests of the Archdiocese of Cashel & Emly; extended relatives; friends and peoples of the Parishes of Clerihan and Thurles.
Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Fr. Ailbe will lie in repose on Monday next in St. Michael’s Church, Clerihan, Clonmel, from 3.00pm with prayers at 7.00pm.
A con-celebrated Mass will be held on Tuesday afternoon next at 2.00pm, followed by interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining church grounds.
