A teenager has been stabbed at a “Takeaway Food” premises in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.
The 19-year-old youth, who is understood to have been employed in the premises situated at No.3-4, Clare street, is reported to be in a serious, yet stable, condition in Nenagh Hospital.
It is understood that the victim was attacked at about 1:20pm this afternoon, by a 33-year-old male who entered the premises where the young man was at work.
Gardaí in Nenagh, having been called to the scene, arrested a 33-year-old male suspect in connection with the assault.
The arrested man currently remains in detention at Nenagh Garda Station this evening.
