Tipperary Libraries Short Story Competition

It is time to get those creative writing juices flowing again. Well, that is if you feel that you have the necessary creative skills to write a short story.

In conjunction with the “Tipperary Reads Festival,” Tipperary Libraries are again running their now popular ‘Short Story Competition.’

The competition is open to all Adults and Senior Cycle secondary school students. The story must be between 2,000 (Minimum) and 3,000 words (Maximum) and all entries must be the original work of the author and previously not published.

There will be just one prize of €200 for the best story, with the winner being announced during the well heralded and welcome visit by Patrick Gale  to Tipperary Libraries in November next.

Stories may be submitted by email to thurles@tipperarylibraries.ie or as hard copy (preferably on CD) to Thurles library, in The Source centre, Cathedral Street, Thurles.

Note: Closing date for your submission is 01/10/2012 & if further details are required please contact your local Thurles library or Phone 0504 29720.
