Death Of Phil Lyttleton, Formerly Gortagarry, Co. Tipperary.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death yesterday, Saturday, 5th November, 2022, of Mrs Philomena (Phil) Lyttleton (née Hassett), Iona Drive, Rathnapish, Co. Carlow and formerly of Gortagarry, Toomevara, Co. Tipperary.

A retired Deputy School Principal (Holy Family Girl National School, Askea, Co. Carlow), Mrs Lyttleton passed away peacefully while in the care of staff at the District Hospital, following a long illness most bravely borne. .

Her passing is most deeply regretted by her husband Gerard, children James, Tomás, Gemma and Oliver, brothers Tom, Pat and John, sister Mary, brothers-in-law Donal and Liam (Jones), sisters-in-law Patricia, Josie and Theresa, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Requiescat in pace.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mrs Lyttleton will repose at R. Healy & Son’s Funeral Home, Pollerton Castle, Rathnapish, Co. Carlow on Monday evening, November 7th, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
Her body will be received into the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, College Street, Graigue, Carlow, to further repose for Requiem Mass on Tuesday morning, November 8th, at 10:00am.
Following Mass, interment will take place immediately afterwards in Bennekerry Cemetery, Longwood, Co. Carlow.
