Death Of William J. Kennedy, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

It was with a great sadness that we learned of the death yesterday, Thursday 12th May, 2022, of Mr William J. Kennedy, Slievenamon Meadows, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly Glastrigan, Templederry, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary and The County Bar, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Pre-deceased by his brothers Paddy, Michael, Seamus, John, Fr. Jerry and Denis, sisters Nora, Joanie, Eileen and Mary; Mr Kennedy passed away while in the care of staff at the Community Hospital of the Assumption, Thurles, following an illness most bravely borne.

His passing is most deeply regretted by his wife Kathleen, daughters Clodagh (Loughnane) and Siobhan (Sheridan), his 8 grandchildren, sons-in-law Gary and Owen, brothers Tommy, Peter and Fr. Joseph, sisters Kathleen (Burke) and Pauline (Keyes), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mr Kennedy will repose in Kennedy’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Thurles, on Saturday evening, May 14th, from 5:00pm before being received into the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles at 7:30pm
Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Sunday morning, May I5th at 11:00am, followed by burial in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

For the many persons who would have liked to have attended Requiem Mass for Mr Kennedy, but due to distance or ill health are unable to do so, same can be viewed online HERE.

[NB: Due to C-19 virus fears; those attending will continue to observe strict adherence to social distancing, face covering, with no hand shaking.]
