Covid-19 Numbers Confirmed Today At 2,467 On Mainland Of Ireland.

The Department of Health has has confirmed 1,358 new coronavirus cases within the past 24 hours here in the republic of Ireland.

There are 400 patients being treated for the virus in our hospital, latter number an increase of 18 based on yesterday’s reported figures.

Today’s hospital numbers are the highest since March 8th last, when there were 418 patients in our hospital suffering with the disease. Some 40% of hospital patient cases are unvaccinated.

The number of people being treated for the virus in intensive care units are up 1 on yesterday’s figures, rising to 75. Some 69% of those in ICU’s are unvaccinated.

In Northern Ireland, there were 1,109 new coronavirus infections, with sadly, 5 further deaths reported over the last 24 hours.

There were 314 patients with Covid-19 in northern hospitals, down 13 on yesterday’s figures. However, there are currently 35 patients remaining in intensive care units, 1 more than yesterday.

washing your hands, wearing a mask when appropriate, opening your windows to ventilate indoor spaces,
and choose outdoors where possible, when meeting other family and friends.
