Covid-19 Update: Thur. 29th Oct. 2020 – 6 Deaths – 866 New Cases

20 new killer Covid-19 virus cases confirmed in Co. Tipperary

The Department of Health have confirmed this evening that there have been sadly 6 further deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll here in the Republic of Ireland remaining at 1,902.

There are 866 new additional cases reported today, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 60,297.

Of this evening’s confirmed cases; 20 are in Co. Tipperary (1,142 cases to date, per RTE summary); 242 in Dublin; 166 in Cork; 56 in Donegal; 54 in Galway; 44 in Meath; with the remaining 284 cases located across another 19 other counties.

Currently, there are 330 confirmed cases of Covid-19 recorded nationally in our Irish State hospitals, with 43 of these patients in intensive care units, (ICU’s).

There are 822 new cases in Northern Ireland, with sadly 8 further deaths from Covid-19 virus in the past 24 hours. Their death toll now stands at 688. There are also 361 confirmed Covid-19 patients in Northern Ireland hospital’s, with 44 in ICU’s, 39 of whom are on ventilators.

Total global cases this evening, now stand at well over 44.5 million [Global Cases – 44,708,172] with global deaths well over 1 million [Global Deaths – 1,177,077].
