Death Of Margaret St.John, Thurles, Co. Tipperary

It was with sadness that we learned of the death yesterday, Friday 25th September 2020, of Mrs Margaret St.John (née Doyle), “Oldbrook”, Clongour, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Mrs St.John passed away peacefully at her place of residence; in her 92nd year, while in the care of her family.

Predeceased by her husband Tommy; sisters Mary and Delia; brothers Phil and Frank; the passing of Mrs St.John is most deeply regretted by her son Joseph and his partner Mary Cecilia; her grandson Reece and his partner Leona; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nephews; nieces; extended relatives; neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements.

The earthly remains of Mrs St.John will repose in Kennedys Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Thurles, on Sunday evening next, September 27th, for family and close friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with strict adherence to social distancing and face coverings.
Requiem Mass will take place on Monday morning in the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment immediately afterwards in nearby St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
[Note: Due to government restrictions numbers attending are restricted within the Cathedral building.]

A special thanks is extended to her nurse of many years and the members of the Palliative Home Care Team who supported Mrs St.John and the family in her final weeks at home. Margaret had a life long passion in horse racing and in people and will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
