Covid-19 Update: Thur. 9th July 2020 – 6 Deaths – 23 New Cases

The total number of Covid-19 virus cases confirmed here in Co. Tipperary; stands currently at 543.

This evening, the Department of Health has confirmed that there have been 6 deaths caused by this pandemic, bringing the overall death toll here in the Republic to 1,743.

However, there were 23 new additional cases reported to the Department of Health, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases since conception at 25,565. Seven of these new cases are recorded in Dublin at 12,266 (3 new cases), Kildare at 1,500 (1 new case), Meath 812 (stable today), Cork 1545 (2 new cases), and Wicklow 698 (1 new case).

All of the new cases today are under the age of 45 years.

The National Public Health Emergency Team has stated that there is an immediate need to take care and operate caution, with the reproductive rate of Covid-19 in Ireland increasing to stand at, or above 1 todate.
