No new virus cases have been confirmed here in the Premier County; as at midnight on Monday, May 11th last, with the total remaining at 524 cases to date.
The Department of Health has confirmed this afternoon that a further 10 people have tragically died from the Covid-19 virus, here in the Republic of Ireland over the past 24 hours. These latest figures bring the total death toll, from this pandemic, to 1,497.
A total of 159 new cases of the coronavirus have also, today, have been identified nationally, bringing the total since conception to 23,401.
Some 84% of people who had been diagnosed with COVID-19 have to date recovered.
As the country begin to consider easing restrictions on Monday our past behaviours will now become even more important. These include: – Handwashing, continued Respiratory Etiquette and continued Physical Distancing.
