Forever Young

May God bless and keep you always,
May your wishes all come true,
May you always do for others
And let others do for you.
May you build a ladder to the stars,
And climb on every rung,
And may you stay,
Forever young.
May you grow up to be rightous,
May you grow up to be true,
May you always know the truth,
And see the light surrounding you.
May you always be courageous,
Stand upright, and be strong,
And may you stay,
Forever young.
Forever young.
Forever young.
May you stay,
Forever young.
May your hands always be busy,
May your feet always be swift,
May you have a strong foundation,
When the winter changes shift.
May your heart always be joyful,
May your song always be sung,
And may you stay,
Forever young.
Forever young.
Forever young.
May you stay,
Forever young.

A Song For A Sunday.

Unanswered Prayers.

Vocals: Garth Brooks.

Lyrics: Songwriters and Singers Garth Brooks; Pat Alger and Larry Bastian.

Unanswered Prayers.

Just the other night at a home town football game,
My wife and I ran into my old high school flame,
And as I introduced them, the past came back to me,
And I couldn’t help but think of the way things used to be.
She was the one that I’d wanted for all times,
And each night I’d spend praying that God would make her mine,
And if He’d only grant me this wish I wished back then,
I’d never ask for anything again.
Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers,
Remember when you’re talking to the Man upstairs,
That just because He doesn’t answer, doesn’t mean He don’t care,
Some of God’s greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.

She wasn’t quite the angel that I remembered in my dreams,
And I could tell that time had changed me, in her eyes too, it seemed,
We tried to talk about the old days, there wasn’t much we could recall,
I guess the Lord knows what He’s doing after all.
And as she walked away, well, I looked at my wife,
And then and there I thanked the good Lord,
For the gifts in my life.
Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers,
Remember when you’re talking to the Man upstairs,
That just because He may not answer, doesn’t mean He don’t care,
Some of God’s greatest gifts are unanswered,
Some of God’s greatest gifts are all too often unanswered,
Some of God’s greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.

Monsters

Monsters.

Vocals: English singer, songwriter and musician James Blunt.

Lyrics: Jimmy HogarthJames BluntAmy Wadge.

The songwriter James Blunt opens up about his father in a new ballad entitled ‘Monsters’, which feature on his sixth studio album,“Once Upon A Mind” released last month.

Monsters.

Oh, before they turn off all the lights,
I won’t read you your wrongs or your rights.
The time has gone,
I’ll tell you goodnight, close the door,
Tell you I love you once more,
The time has gone,
So here it is.
I’m not your son, you’re not my father,
We’re just two grown men saying goodbye.
No need to forgive, no need to forget,
I know your mistakes and you know mine,
And while you’re sleeping I’ll try to make you proud.
So, daddy, won’t you just close your eyes?
Don’t be afraid, it’s my turn,
To chase the monsters away.
Oh, well, I’ll read a story to you,
Only difference is this one is true,
The time has gone.
I folded your clothes on the chair,
I hope you sleep well, don’t be scared,
The time has gone,
So here it is.
I’m not your son, you’re not my father,
We’re just two grown men saying goodbye.
No need to forgive, no need to forget,
I know your mistakes and you know mine,
And while you’re sleeping I’ll try to make you proud,
So, daddy, won’t you just close your eyes?
Don’t be afraid, it’s my turn,
To chase the monsters away.
Sleep a lifetime,
Yes, and breathe a last word,
You can feel my hand on your own.
I will be the last one,
So I’ll leave a light on.
Let there be no darkness, in your heart,
But I’m not your son, you’re not my father,
We’re just two grown men saying goodbye,
No need to forgive, no need to forget,
I know your mistakes and you know mine,
And while you’re sleeping I’ll try to make you proud,
So, daddy, won’t you just close your eyes?
Don’t be afraid, it’s my turn,
To chase the monsters away.

A Song For A Sunday.

No Matter What.

Lyrics: English composer and impresario of musical theatre, Baron Andrew Lloyd Webber and American composer, lyricist and record producer Jim Steinman written for the musical “Whistle Down the Wind,”

Vocals: Irish boy band of the 90’s “Boyzone”.

The song, hereunder, serves to emphasize the power of unconditional love, while accepting and forgiving loved ones for who they are; their deficiencies and inadequacies, which often emerge only during challenging times.

No Matter What.

No matter what they tell us, no matter what they do,
No matter what they teach us, what we believe is true,
No matter what they call us, however they attack,
No matter where they take us, we’ll find our own way back.
I can’t deny what I believe, I can’t be what I’m not,
I know I’ll love forever, I know no matter what.
If only tears were laughter, if only night was day,
If only prayers were answered, then we would hear God say,
No matter what they tell you, no matter what they do,
No matter what they teach you, what you believe is true.
And I will keep you safe and strong and sheltered from the storm,
No matter where it’s barren, a dream is being born,
No matter who they follow, no matter where they lead,
No matter how they judge us, I’ll be everyone you need,
No matter if the sun don’t shine, or if the skies are blue,
No matter what the end is, my life began with you.
I can’t deny what I believe, I can’t be what I’m not,
I know, I know, I know that love’s forever,
That’s all that matters now, no matter what.
No, no matter (no no matter what),
No, no matter (no no matter what),
No, no matter, that’s all that matters to me (no no matter what),
No, no matter, that’s all that matters to me (no no matter what),
No, no matter, that’s all that matters to me (no no matter what),
No, no matter, that’s all that matters to me (no no matter what),
And no, no matter what, that’s all that matters to me (no no matter what),
And no, no matter what, that’s all that matters to me

Better.

Better.

Vocals: British singer-songwriter Tom Baxter
Lyrics: Singer Songwriters Sam Semple and Tom Baxter.

Better.

Our love has changed, it’s not the same,
And the only way to say it, is say it, it’s better.
I can’t conceal this way I feel,
For all the time we spent together, forever, just get’s better.
See what I’m tryna say is you make things, better
And no matter what the day is, with you here, it’s better

I’ll stand by you, if you stand by me.
I think it’s time I reveal, cos I believe it, it’s better.
See what I’m tryna say is you make things, better,
And no matter what the day is, with you here, it’s better.
The more I talk to you, I fall in love with, everything you do,

Oh, see what I’m tryna say is, you make things, better,
And no matter what the day is with you here, it’s better.
Oh, see what I’m tryna say is, you make things, better,
And no matter what the day is with you here, it’s better.

Our love has changed, it’s not the same,
And the only way to say it is say it, it’s better.
