Covid-19 Update: Wed. 14th Oct. 2020 – 5 Deaths – 1095 New Cases

15 New killer COVID-19 virus cases confirmed in Co. Tipperary

The Department of Health have confirmed this evening that there have been sadly 5 new deaths caused by the Covid-19 pandemic; leaving the overall death toll here in the Republic of Ireland remaining at 1,835.

However, there are 1,095 new additional cases reported today, leaving the current total number of confirmed cases, since conception in the Irish Republic, at 45,243. (Same includes the de-notification of 11 previously confirmed cases.)

Of this evening’s confirmed cases; 15 are in Tipperary (Overall total of 910); 246 in Dublin: 185 in Meath; 128 in Cavan; 118 in Cork; 63 in Kildare, with the remaining 327 cases located across all remaining counties.

South Tipperary General Hospital are caring for 4 cases with 5 suspected cases, while University Hospital Limerick, serving North Tipperary, caring for 8 cases, with 6 suspected cases.
Tipperary now has an incidence rate of 82.7 per 100,000 population ahead of Waterford (69.7), Wicklow (77.2) and Carlow (80.8).

There have been 1,217 new cases of coronavirus recorded in Northern Ireland and sadly 4 further death.

Total global cases this evening now stand at over 38 million [38,304,172] with global deaths at almost 1.1 million [1,088,463].
