Death Of Shay Kinsella, Formely Thurles, Co. Tipperary

Thurles born and the founder of the “Share A Dream” foundation back in 1989; Mr Seamus (Shay) Kinsella will be long remembered as the “dream maker” for thousands of vulnerable children.

Mr Kinsella, aged 79 years, passed away as a result of cancer last Sunday, July 26th, while in the care of staff at Milford Hospice, and while surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Thurles, Co. Tipperary in 1941, he spent most of his childhood in Co. Wexford, before eventually making Co. Limerick his adopted home.

His funeral Mass yesterday was held, fittingly, at the Church of St. Nicholas, Westbury, Co. Limerick; St. Nicholas of course being the Patron Saint of young children.

Mr Kinsella also served as a peace maker with the Irish Defence Forces in both the Congo and Cyprus; was a top flight Irish basketball coach and worked as an aircraft engineer in Shannon, Co Clare.

The extended Kinsella family wish to express their appreciation for your understanding at this difficult time and have made arrangements for those wishing to send messages of condolence, to use the link shown HERE.
