Covid-19 Update: Mon. 6th July 2020 – 4 New Cases

The total number of Covid-19 virus cases confirmed here in Co. Tipperary; remains currently at 542, with zero cases identified over the previous 12 days.

This evening, the Department of Health has confirmed that there have been zero deaths nationally from Covid-19, over the last 48 hours. Latest figures show the total number of deaths caused by this pandemic, remains at 1,741.

A further 4 additional confirmed cases of coronavirus brings the total number of cases here in the Irish Republic to 25,531. New cases are understood to be in Kildare (2) and Meath (2).

Speaking at a post-cabinet media briefing this afternoon, An Taoiseach Mr Micheál Martin has confirmed that Government advice against all non-essential travel will remain in place until July 20th .

An Taoiseach stated that international travel is not advised and should be avoided. A “Green list” of countries, to which people can travel to and from, will be published on the same date (July 20th) .

This pandemic has killed over 534,300 people worldwide, since it was conceived in China late last year.
The United States remains the hardest-hit country with almost 130,000 deaths. It is followed by Brazil with almost 64,900, Britain with 44,220, Italy with 34,861 and Mexico with 30,639 fatalities.
