It was with sadness that we learned of the death, yesterday Tuesday 5th May 2020, of Mr Jerry Lyons, Ballynonty, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly Béal na mBláth, Glannarouge East, Co. Cork.
Mr Lyons passed away while in the care of staff at Fennor Hill Nursing Home Urlingford, Co. Kilkenny.
His passing is most deeply regretted by his wife Mab; sons Peter, Michael and Jeremy; daughters Caroline and Geraldine; grandchildren Sean, Adam, Amy, Shauna, Niamh, Cormac, Ross, Daisy, Oisín, Harry, Matilda, Ben and Max; daughters-in-law; sons-in-law; brothers Tadhg and Peter; sister Eileen; extended relatives; neighbours; friends and the wider athletics community.

Funeral Arrangements
In accordance with government guidelines with regard to the current Covid-19 pandemic and public gatherings; the funeral of Mr Lyons will take place in a private, family only setting.
A memorial Mass, to celebrate the life of Mr Lyons, will be arranged at a later date.
