It was with sadness that we learned of the death yesterday, Tuesday 10th March 2020, of Mrs Josephine (Fenna) Sweeney (née Cahill), Ard Mhuire, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Predeceased by her husband John and daughter in law Marian; Mrs Sweeney passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, while in the care of the staff of the Community Hospital of the Assumption, Thurles.
Her passing is most deeply regretted by her daughters Margaret (Heffernan) and Monica (McCarthy); son Willie; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sons in law Rodge and John; nephews; nieces; brother Michaél; cousins; extended relatives; neighbours and many good friends.

Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mrs Sweeney will lie in repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles, on tomorrow evening, Thursday, March 12th, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, to arrive at the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles, at 8:00pm.
Requiem Mass will be held on Friday morning, March 13th, at 11:00am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Moyne Road, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
