A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions, following an arrest and searches carried out on Thursday last, by the Divisional Drugs Unit, based in North Tipperary.
The searches undertaken were carried out in two housing estates in the town of Nenagh, following an intelligence led operation aimed at tackling suspected drug dealing in the North Tipperary area.
We understand that an undisclosed sum of cash, together with goods, latter believed to be associated with the proceeds of crime, were seized by Gardaí.
We also understand that one male was arrested, under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act, and has since been released prior to the decision of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
