It is with sadness that we learned of the death today, Wednesday 27th March 2019, of Sr. Mairead Hourigan, Ursuline Convent, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, and formerly of Ballinglana, Lattin, Co. Tipperary.
Predeceased by her brother Seamus, sisters Sr. Phena and twin Bernie; Sr. Mairead passed away unexpectedly.
Her passing is most deeply regretted by her sisters Sr. Aloysius and Sr. Mary; sister-in-law Mary Hourigan; nephews James and Shane; their wives Margaret and Ann; grandniece; grandnephew; the Ursuline Community and Congregation.
Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Sr. Mairead will lie in repose in the new Convent Oratory on Thursday, 28th March, from 4.00pm to 6.00pm, with evening prayers at 6.00pm.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 29th, in the Cathedral of the Assumption, Thurles at 11.00am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in the Convent Cemetery.
Note Please: Entrance to the new Convent via the Ursuline Secondary School, on the Templemore Road, Thurles or via the carpark, beside the Ulster Bank, north east on Liberty Square, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
