It is with sadness we learned of the death today, Saturday 5th January 2019, of Mr Michael (Mick) Hickey, Moynetemple, Moyne, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Brittas Road, Thurles, Loughmore and Knockavilla, Co. Tipperary.
Mr Hickey passed away peacefully following a short illness, surrounded by his loving family.
His passing is most deeply regretted by his heartbroken family; his daughter Edel (Leahy); son Liam; son-in-law Joe and Marie; adoring grandchildren Emma and Meabh; cousins; extended relatives; neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Regretted also by all his valued sporting colleagues, near and far, in particular Dundrum A.C., Thurles and Templemore Golf Clubs and Tipperary Badminton.
Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mr Hickey will lie in repose at Hugh Ryan’s Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles on Monday, January 7th, from 5.00pm to 7.00pm.
Arriving to St. Mary’s Church, Moyne on Tuesday, January 8th, at 11.00am for Requiem Mass at 11.30am.
Cremation to follow at the Island Crematorium, Rocky Island, Spike Island, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork at 3.00pm.

RIP Mick. Great memories during the sixties. Good times and a great champion & fabulous athlete. We will continue to talk about the good times we enjoyed. God take care of Mick.
