The National Lottery has yet to confirm the winner of last nights Euro millions draw (June 5, 2018), however local information is stating that the lucky ticket was purchased here in Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
It is being widely reported that the winning ticket was purchased by a syndicate of employees; over 30 persons, working in Stakelums Home & Hardware on Racecourse Rd, Bawnanattin, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Congratulations to all.
The winning numbers were 9, 15, 22, 39 and 46. The Lucky Stars were 4 and 5.
The phrase “The Luck of the Irish” changes to “The Luck of Tipperary & Thurles”.
Back on October 25th last, 2017, Easons in the shopping centre here in Thurles sold a €7.5 million Lotto Jackpot ticket, which was won by a syndicate of friends.
A winning Lotto Plus One Jackpot ticket was purchased in Thurles in October 2013, while a National Lotto jackpot of €10,613,747 was sold by newsagent Mr Vincent Scanlon, Liberty Square, Thurles back in January of the same year.
A Euromillions winning €500,000 ticket was also sold in Co. Tipperary in April 2017, and a winning Lotto Plus 1 Quick Pick selection ticket also yielding a €500,000 prize, was sold at the Centra Store, Parkmore, Roscrea, in Co. Tipperary.
