Suspected Stolen Property Recovered In Tipperary, Carlow, Kilkenny

Suspected stolen property valued at over €150,000 has been successfully recovered by Gardaí in the counties of Tipperary, Carlow and Kilkenny.
The property was discovery following searches carried out over the past number of days as part of ‘Operation Thor’; latter charged with actively targeting organised crime gangs and repeat offenders through co-ordinated crime prevention and enforcement activity based on intelligence to protect rural and other communities.

Gardaí from the Kilkenny/Carlow Division together with the Thurles Garda Detective Unit searched premises in the Moyne, Thurles area of Co.Tipperary and Carlow Town, together with areas in Urlingford, Freshford, Castlecomer and Cuffs Grange, in Co. Kilkenny.

A large volume of suspected stolen property was recovered, including power tools, machinery, trailers, antiques, ornaments and a number of bicycles.

As at going to press to-night, no individuals have as yet been arrested during the course of these searches, however investigations are ongoing.
