Very Rev. Fr. Thomas J. Breen R.I.P

It is with the deepest regret and personal sadness that I report the death yesterday, Friday 11th November 2016, of Very Rev. Fr. Thomas J. Breen, PP. Holycross, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Ayle, Cappawhite, Co. Tipperary.

A man of immense dedication, understanding and compassion; Fr. Breen passed away after a long illness most bravely borne, while in the tender care of the Matron and Staff of the Community Hospital of The Assumption, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

His passing is most deeply regretted by his Grace, Archbishop Kieran O’Reilly; Clergy and Colleagues of the Cashel and Emly Dioceses; his sister Madge (Cleary); brothers Jack (Ayle) and Liam (Clonmel); sisters-in-law Ann and Mary; brother-in-law Paddy; cousin Fr Tom F. Breen (P.P. Fethard); nephews; nieces; grandnephews; grandnieces; cousins; extended relatives; parishioners and many, many friends both locally and further afield.

Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Fr. Breen will repose in Holycross Abbey, Holycross, on Monday November 14th, from 2.00pm to 6.45pm, followed by Mass at 7.00pm.

His Requiem Mass will be held on Tuesday 15th November at 12.30pm, with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
