Drugs Valued At €250,000 Seized In Tipperary

gardaThree individuals; all believed to be male, have been arrested in the north of Co. Tipperary, following a seizure of drugs with an estimated street value of almost €250,000.

The drug seizures were made as part of an intelligence-led operation involving Roscrea Garda Divisional Drugs Unit, the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Customs Officials.

The three individuals were all arrested at an address in Roscrea. One of those arrested is in his late teens and the two others are understood to be in their mid 20’s, and all are understood to be of Lithuanian nationality.

The arrested individuals are being detained at Nenagh Garda Station, following two separate discoveries and seizures of herbal cannabis. One of the seizures, weighing some 12 kilogrammes, has an estimated street value of over €140,000; while in a follow-up second search at yet another address in Roscrea; a package containing some 5 kilogrammes of herbal cannabis was also seized; same with an estimated street value of over €100,000.

It is understood that the drugs seized, possibly originated in Spain.

    Michael. I agree with you 100%. What a shock to think this is now going on in Ireland especially in a lovely town like Roscrea. How do these people get to live in Ireland in the first place?
