It was with sadness we learned of the death yesterday, Thursday March 10th, 2016, of M/s Una Tierney, Leugh, Thurles, Co. Tipperary and formerly of Kildare, Kilkenny, Dublin and Limerick.
Miss Tierney passed away after a short illness, while in the loving care of Marymount Hospital Cork.
The only daughter of the late Tom and Breda Tierney, her passing is most deeply regretted by her brothers Larry, Philip, PJ., Michael, Fr. Celsus and John; her sisters-in-law Rita, Maria, Joan and Norma, her nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends.
Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Miss Tierney will repose at Egan’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Thurles, on tomorrow Saturday, March 12th, from 4:30pm to 7:45pm, arriving at the Cathedral of The Assumption, Thurles, at 8:30pm.
Requiem Mass will take place on Sunday, March 13th, at 12:00 noon. Funeral will depart from Thurles Cathedral on Monday, March 14th, at 9:30am, arriving at 11:30am, for cremation at the Island Crematorium, Cork.
