It is with a deep sense of personal sadness and regret that I report the death, yesterday Tuesday 26th January 2016, of Mr Edmond (Eddie) Dwan, Bohernamona, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
Mr Dwan will be long remembered in the local area for his strong support of public events involving the local Thurles community; his professionalism, logic, quiet thoughtful generosity and infectious good humour.
Mr Dwan passed away peacefully in the wonderful and loving care of the ICU Unit of the St James Hospital, in Dublin. His passing is most deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife and best friend Ann, his loving children Edmond, Michael, Ann-Marie, Emma, Thomas, John-Paul and Mary-Rose; his sisters Brigid (O’Byrne), Catherine (O’Kelly), Helen (Lyons) and his late sister Mary (Chapman); son-in-law Anthony, partners Mick, Caroline and Eoin; his sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, relatives, neighbours and his many many friends.
The earthly remains of Mr Dwan will repose at his personal residence this Friday evening, January 29th, from 4:00pm to 9:00pm. His remains will be moved to the Cathedral of the Assumption, Cathedral Street, Thurles, on Saturday, to arrive at 12:30pm, for Requiem Mass, which takes place at 1:15pm.
