It was with a great personal sadness I learned of the death yesterday, Monday 11th January 2016, of Mr William (Willie) Corbett, Roskeen, Drombane, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
A former National School teacher, historian and author, Mr Corbett passed away in the loving care of the staff of the Community Hospital Of The Assumption, Thurles. His passing is most deeply regretted by his sisters Josephine McCague (Dublin), Kathleen Brophy (Ardattin) and Phil Newman (Templemore), brother-in-law Jer, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, cousins, neighbours and friends.
Funeral Arrangements
The earthly remains of Mr Corbett will repose at O’Dwyer’s Funeral Home, Upperchurch, Thurles on Tuesday next from 5:30pm with removal at 7:30pm to St. Mary’s Church, Drombane, Thurles.
Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday at 11:30am, followed by burial in Templebeg Cemetery.
