Passport Application News

passportPlanning on going abroad on holiday this summer? If your answer is in the affirmative, it would be best to check your passport now.

Before making any overseas travel plans, intending travellers should check passport expiry dates and submit their applications in sufficient time, before their intended travel date.

A new appointment service will operate from the Passport Office in Molesworth Street, Dublin, aimed only at those who have to make an application in person, brought about by the fact that they are obliged to travel at short notice, or within 3 to 10 working days. The opening hours for such appointments are from 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

Persons travelling in more than 10 working days are advised that it is both quicker and cheaper to use the Passport Express Service available through approximately 1,000 local An Post offices and through another 70 post offices in Northern Ireland.

Persons, who forward their applications through the normal postal system after June 30th 2013 will have same returned to sender.
